Roxanna has a background in political PR but now is a full-time freelance writer specialised in women’s health, mental health, and self-development. She speaks several languages, practises belly dancing, yoga, and life drawing, and is passionate about advocating for human and animal rights, self-care, and empowerment. Here are three thing you may or may not know about her! 1. Tell us something you’re proud of. Last year, I took a huge risk by quitting a “good” job - that made me ill and feel undervalued - to pursue my passion for writing and wellness. I took this challenging experience as an opportunity to learn more and spread awareness about mental and physical health - and hope to now help others with maintaining their wellbeing and sense of self in this crazy modern world. 2. Who’s your role model? All the women or minorities out there who speak up or follow their passion despite the others putting them down or claiming they ought not to. If you can dream it, you can do it! 3. What do you do to look after yourself? i.e. How are you a Selfish Darling? For me, the key to wellbeing is spending some precious moments alone every day. I either make the most of this by channeling my creativity through writing or drawing, taking a long hot bath, or getting outside to enjoy nature. As long as I carry out these activities alone with my thoughts, they all feel super healing!
